Tara Namaste was established in 2010 as a non-profit organisation. A real labour of love. As a country ravaged by natural disasters and mismanagement, Nepal is in dire need of help – and not just since the huge earthquake hit in 2015. Wiederkehr Recycling is a co-founder of the foundation, which takes action where other aid projects don’t go. The foundation helps in particular children, elderly and disabled people in the Jhapa district in south-eastern Nepal, one of the areas worst hit by the earthquake.

The support we offer is in the form of very fundamental things such as food and clothing, school supplies and help to rebuild buildings that were destroyed. In 2019, the non-profit became the Tara Namaste Foundation.
