SMV Wiederkehr Recycling GmbH was acquired in 1993 and was fully redeveloped and extended. The recycling plant is located in Lauchringen in Southern Germany, close to the Swiss border. It salvages primarily scrap and metal and has been doing so since the 1950s. Today the interests of SMV Wiederkehr Recycling are led by Managing Director Michael Hämmerle, the grandson of the former owner. The Lauchringen site is one of the oldest and best-known scrap dealerships on the High Rhine.
