Recycling electricity meters
A distinction is made between analogue and digital electricity meters. For the recycling process, it is the technology and the material used that make the key difference. The new generation of electricity meters work digitally and do not contain as many recyclable materials as the old devices. The housing is usually made of plastic and there is much more waste. This means that analogue meters are of greater interest in terms of recycling. They have a metal housing and can also offer recyclables like iron and copper.
Generally we accept all electricity meters, mixed or sorted. During the recycling process, the devices are taken apart and sold on as standard commercial materials.
